Our February General meeting presenter was Debbie McCormick

Debbie McCormick is a LinkedIn marketing and branding expert and an award-winning speaker on the topic. Her best-selling book, The LinkedIn Manual for Rookies, is the resource she wishes had been available when she was learning LinkedIn.

Holiday Charity

The Cottages of Emmett is a smaller, home-like assisted living and memory care facility that has been providing specialized care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia since 2001. Partnering with them this past holiday season gave us the opportunity to provide individual, personalized gifts for 24 residents.

Our generous members came together and donated so many wonderful items for these baskets. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

November General Meeting

On Wednesday November 2nd our presenter was Greg Sizemore, Vice President of Health, Safety, Environment and Workforce of Associated Builders & Contractors.

His presentation was about Mental Health Issues in Construction. Greg currently serves on the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health and the board of directors of NCCER and chairs the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention.

We learned that Construction is the most at-risk industry for suicide deaths. We learned risk factors, warning signs, how to deal with those factors and warnings.

All members/contractors are encouraged to go to preventconstructionsuicide.com and take the CIASP Pledge.

We encourage everyone to visit that website for valuable information for you and your company.
