February General Meeting

We had a great turnout for our February General Meeting. We welcomed 2 guests and 4 new members.

Dawn Brubaker, our president set a theme for the her term. “She believed She could so She did”. In keeping with that theme, we started off with a Congratulations to Rhonda Miller for meeting her goal that was set back in October at the beginning of our year.

The speaker presentation was our very own Brenda Smith from PayneWest Insurance.

She presented the book: GRIT, The Power of Passion and Perseverance , By Angela Duckworth

· How Gritty are you?

· What is Grit and why it matters?

· Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset

· Four Keys to Grit

We took the Grit Scale to learn about our level of Grit and how it compares to others: https://angeladuckworth.com/grit-scale/

Thanks to Ruth Fritts for suggesting this as our Holiday Charity for 2021 and for handling the delivery

December Holiday Mixer & Gift Exchange

For December we concentrated on Food & Fun.

With 6 guests and 20 members in attendance we enjoyed a wonderful selection of Hors D’oeuvres provided by Louie’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant.

A bit of business was discussed in the form of a list and description of upcoming events scheduled for 2022.

We then had our annual gift exchange. This year’s theme was Stuffed Stockings.

A good time was had by all.
